About me
I am a costumier who loves to make the brilliant designs of myself and others come to life. When I was young I would spend a lot of time with my Nonna and Nonno, a seamstress and a tailor, who helped me discover my creative passion. This passion continued throughout my home and school where I started making my own designs and costumes. Studying Textiles and Design in high school solidified to me that costume was more than a hobby, so I applied to NIDA. In completing my BFA in Costume my skills and creativity developed and my passion in tailroing became clear.
In the costume world I have focused on all parts of the costume making process;
Designing, pattering, and making
Period garments
Womens wear
Traditional tailoring - Mens and womens jackets and trousers
Dance and stretch wear
Unique art finishing
Specialty costume and prop elements
When I am not sewing for school or work I am often creating for myself, friends and family or just having some peaceful drawing time. I also love to read, go bushwalking, dance and obsess about tv shows with my friends.
